Uzbekistan Takes Its Training Seriously.
Uzbekistan has been struggling in World Cup qualifying, languishing at the bottom of Group 1 in Asian qualifying. They take on group leaders Australia in Sydney during the next qualifiers round, so they’ve understandably had to incorporate some extreme training methods in order to take the result against the Socceroos, as you can see.
Thanks to Azamat, who sent us the tip along with this email:
“It comes to my attention that many people are deciding the 2010 World Cup qualifying series and that teams like Australia are a shoes in. But let me make this clear – the mighty Uzbekistan team is making new plans.
My cousin gave to me a movie that shows the extreme training methods from the Uzbekistan team. You will see from this movie many players are making amazing levels of skill and power. And when Australia plays our great nation they will also see our invincible football.”

Disclaimings: This email is for marketing purposes but its contents and anyone from Uzbekistan should be taken very seriously.
Hear that, Australia?
This game should be magic.
Yeah, I suspect some form of viral marketing.
The video’s funny but is it really possible to shoot that accurately, or is this thing videoshopped?

Videoshopped..?
If edited, it was probably done in AfterEffects or Final Cut Pro, but they may have just done it completely live and waited for three successful attempts to go in. Derren Brown style. He flipped 50 heads in a row once and asked how it was done – he just spent all day doing it until he managed to get a run of 50 heads.
There’s a reason for the cut away after the loser puts his head in the hole.

Wait until they play in Sydney and see how magic they are.

Ya, cause nothing builds team moral more than having balls kicked into your face! Especially if it your coach or a teammate that does it.
Yikes.
So, do we feel this is all AfterEffects or what?
