im into wishful thinking as much as the next guy but there will be a need for divine intervention for next summer not to be a security and logistics nightmare.

A judo instructor at our dojo does high profile security analysis (bodyguards and such) and was in South Africa last december and I remember he told me that it was absolutely the worst place he’d consider (and they regularly work in Iraq mind you),…next to Rio de Janeiro.

Yeah, the next two big events will be in places that are 1 and 1a on his shit list.

Still, this bodes well for the UK and the next world cup since Englands has surpassed both south africa and the US on the violence scale.
