Photo of the Day: The Sweet Taste of Success

These are the German U-19s, who tasted success this weekend by beating Italy 3-1 to finish first in the U-19 European championships. And they did it despite going down a player before the half.

(Anybody else think the goalkeeper looks about twelve? Do you think his voice has even changed yet?)

This wasn’t a great weekend for Italy, who also finished second in the Beach Soccer World Cup after a loss to Brazil.

Oh, well. They’re still World Champions till 2010, right?
