Photo: Identity Crisis

Two gentlemen wearing Mexican shirts/garb hold up a Canadian flag in what appears to be a Mexican fans section during a game between, you guessed it, Canada and Mexico. Get down off that fence. (Alfredo Estrella/AFP/Getty Images)

That’s called respect you nitwit, not an identity crisis. The Mexican fans are showing the Canadian national team respect, and I think International Football could use more of that. Salutations to the Mexican national team for their victory as well, I believe Mexico won 2-1 against the Maple Leafs.

They did win 2-1 Nathaniel. Also, there are tons of Canadians(retirees) living down in Mexico. It’s not uncommon to see the Canadian flag hanging outside a home so it’s just like saying hi to friends. Or those guys might be Canadians living in Mexico. Wearing the home shirt but waving the flag of their country.

Mexico sure doesn’t act that way when they play the USA?

Kovosoccer- No but it might be because there is a bigger rivalry between them. The rivalry with Canada isn’t exactly there is it?
