Isn’t He Supposed to be Injured?

By: Daryl | March 31st, 2008 | 2 Comments »

You’ve probably seen Cristiano Ronaldo’s ridiculously good goal for Man Utd against Aston Villa by now. A flick with his back leg, through Martin Laursen’s legs, and in. Not bad for someone who was so very badly injured that he couldn’t play for Portugal just three days earlier.

With entertainers like Ronaldo missing in dubious circumstances, it’s no surprise that Arsene Wenger is predicting the end of international friendlies.

We were watching the weekend highlights in England and even my husband (who is a notorious non-soccer fan) commented on the Ronaldo goal. It was that spectacular.
