International Friendlies Galore Today, With Possible Bow From Bojan
Before we get back to the Africa Cup of Nations semi-finals tomorrow, there’s a big day of international football friendlies today. No points at stake, no trophies to be won, but still some exciting games with plenty of intrigue.
There’s Spain vs France for starters, where young Bojan Krkic may be making his debut. There’s the just the other side of the border Austria vs Germany. There’s Fabio Capello’s much anticipated first game in charge with England vs Switzerland. Or how about the insane amount of talent involved in Italy vs Portugal? It’s already difficult to know which game to watch. Ireland vs Brazil would have been a lot more interesting had Alexandre Pato been making his debut, but an ankle injury means that will have to wait. Last but definitely not least there’s the friendly that probably isn’t really a friendly, with USA vs Mexico in Houston.
