Estonaian Fans Beat the Snow and Prove Arsene Wenger Wrong

If Arsene Wenger thinks no one cares about international friendlies anymore, he needs to talk to some Estonia fans. Because those people definitely wanted their team’s friendly against Canada to go ahead on Wednesday.

A gigantic snowstorm hit Tallinn on Tuesday and the game looked canceled, buried under eight inches of white stuff. So the desparate Estonian FA put out a call for help, and 40 brave Estonian fans answered. Armed only with shovels (and hopefully gloves) the 40 fans worked at making the pitch at A. Le Coq Arena playable. The snow didn’t let up, but as you can see from the above video the fans succeeded. The game went ahead and the 40 shovel-wielding heroes were rewarded with a 2-0 Estonia victory.

That’s the spirit, skillz. Anyway, that’s pretty awesome that they got 40 fans to shovel out the pitch. I hope they at least got free tickets.
