Drama In Slovakia: Stanislav Sestak Is A One Minute Man

Two goals in the 85th and 86th minutes (so technically he’s a one minute plus man) to take a 2-1 victory at home against Poland, and two goals which were gifted at that – thus making him the most (only?) thankful one minute man alive. The setups for these indicate he’s used up his quota for at least the next two Christmases – especially when consider the typically reliable Artur Boruc dropped the ball on one…literally.

Then, in non-footballing matters, there were some extracurricular activities between the police and Polish fans…

Never a dull day when Eastern Europe and football collide.

Besides coming off an injury, Boruc’s weakness has always been his ability to go up and get crosses. The few howlers he lets in are usually because of that.
