Argentina Finish 2007 on Top
Brazil may have cleaned up at the FIFA World Player of the Year awards, but arch-rivals Argentina at least finished 2007 on top of the FIFA World Rankings. The final rankings of 2007 were calculated yesterday, and the albiceleste finished 21 points ahead of the seleção, who in turn finished four points ahead of World Cup holders Italy. Not a whole lot of movement from November’s rankings, with no change at all in the top 20. Biggest movers from the start of 2007 were Mozambique (up 53 places to 75th position) New Caledonia (up 58 places to 118th) and the All Whites of New Zealand (up 36 places to 95th.) Top 50 after the jump.
