Alexandre Pato Marks His International Debut With an Incredible Goal

Alexandre Pato made his international debut for Brazil with the usual hype (guilty here) and pressure on him to perform. And as usual he delivered.

Just eleven minutes after coming on as a second half sub, the 18 year old blocked a clearance from Swedish keeper Andreas Isaksson near the corner, and then lobbed Isaksson as he rushed back into goal. Can’t argue with that. Brazil win 1-0, and Pato begins his international career in style.

If you’re looking for the goal but don’t want to sit through all the highlights, it’s at the 2:45 mark in the above video.
