I am an avid viewer of GOLTV, and between the horns blowing and you’re SNOOZER commentators, I don’t care to watch ESPN soccer broadcasts! The one commentator acts like he’s the coach saying what the team “needs to do” and has a very “better than” attitude. They don’t talk about players’ backgrounds/accomplishments, stats NOTHING!! You’re commentators are the biggest SNOOZERS in the soccer wrold! Sorry, but they are. It really takes away from the “beautiful game”. I’m a 50 year old woman from the US, and it seems that I know more about all of these teams than the commentators. Let me know if you need any suggestions because you’re going to loose your viewing soccer audience if they have to listen to incompetents! Sad, but true. I know you guys are trying, but it’s just not cutting it for the avid soccer fan/viewer.

Actually, soccer IS played in the streets in the US.

The problem with US soccer is not lack of talent, but lack of a good infrastructure for finding, recruiting and developing talent. Most US soccer coaches wouldn’t know a good player if he kicked the coach in the ass. They look for physical condition (who can run faster longer) because they don’t know how to recognize skill and talent. Skill and talent are largely innate; conditioning is just that – a physical state you can “condition” your body into reaching.

Third world teams??? You mean like Holland (where Shell Oil comes from), England, Spain, Germany, France, etc etc. If that’s third world, I’d rather be there (not to mention the rest of Europe which is the cradle of Western Civilization, and the US is just their transplanted uncouth cousins).

who cares if the US doesnt make it lets face it we suck at soccer. and im tired of the commentators for the games making excuses for the loses. face it the US will never be good at soccer until it becomes a game played in the streets like it is in all of the power house countries. we are completely out classed lets face it

Andrew, please don’t embarrass urself by saying soccer is a third world sport
if u don’t have a clue in sports, then just go entertain urself with some other sport like whatever crap u guys play in the us NHL, cricket, golf or whatever.
second of all u know that car u shit urself when u see like Lamborghini, Ferrari whatever, u know the cars ur country doesn’t even dream of producing something similar to well newsflash they come from the country u call “third world” ITALY
