Most of the people in the English-speaking media have said Ireland. Honestly, I don’t think Ireland has a chance in hell. Yes, they have a great manager in Trappatoni, but that is it! I think France wins and wins easily.

Ireland and France is 50/50. We’ve struggled to hold leads throughout qualifying BUT we are unbeaten. If France play like they did in the latter stages of WC 2006, they’ll be ok but if they play like they have in the last 3 years, they are gone.

Three ties are certainties for me:

GREECE
RUSSIA
COSTA RICA.

Despite the first-leg result, I’d still say BAHRAIN.

A big team will go out. I’d say IRELAND will sneak it and PORTUGAL will somehow find a way against an on-song Bosnia side.
