Straight from the Horst’s Mouth: 2010 World Cup on Target
Take a deep breath and relax because the preparations for the 2010 World Cup in South Africa are going just fine and dandy. That is the word according to Horst R. Schmidt and he should know because he is the man helping to run the show.
“There were certainly some difficulties initially in the building of stadiums, but now everything is on schedule.
“I do not doubt for a second that the World Cup will take place in South Africa, it will be a different World Cup from the one which took place last summer in Germany, but it will certainly not be any less impressive,” added Schmidt, who is also general secretary of the German Football Federation (DFB).
This is all very encouraging but I still have one complaint. I wish that Horst and the gang could speed up time and make 2010 happen tomorrow. It is the build up to the World Cup that always kills me.

These a lot of controvercy sorounding south africa not being ready for 2010 and controvecy sorounding bafana bafana not performing well but we thankfull for their recent win .
what I’m about to say is irrelevent to this .
my cry is, a lot of young south african boys are running out of the country because there is not enough soccer scouts or soccer recruitment in the country , me being one of them . i’m from cape town and it is extremely impossible to get in to the profesional clubs .
i never played profesionaly , yet i have the potential to do so .
i’m currently leaving in bahrain on a search for a club .
i would appreciate it if some thing can be done about this .

Stembiso stop lying man!
There are a lot of clubs in cape town, and indeed the rest of the country to play for if you’re good enough. Why on earth do you go to Bahrain to play football? Do they even have a proffesional league there?
You’re simply not good enough to become aproffesional football player bra! Get over it and come back home.
