Better for it to happen now than in 2010. In a move that can hardly instill Bafana Bafana fans with confidence, the South Africa football association released their squad for the upcoming African Nations Cup qualifier and included a player, Bradley Carnell, is who suspended for the match.
A SAFA spokesperson told Reuters they would “investigate the matter” but the Confederation of African Football in Cairo have confirmed the player is banned for one match after picking up cautions against Congo and Zambia.
I guess it could have been worse. They could have called up a player who isn’t South African or they could have called up a player with the wrong body parts.
