It is that time of the month when we suspend reality to check in to see where the various teams in the world stand in the always amusing FIFA World Rankings. This month sees no change at the top. Italy is numero uno in the hearts and minds of the computers. Brazil and Argentina swapped places with Brazil now second and Argentina third. The rest of the top ten is unchanged because nothing really happened in April. Scotland is a team on the rise, now ranked 14th in the world, their best ever showing. Props to the Democratic Republic of Congo for moving up 23 places to 61st in the world. Alas, American Samoa remains in last place for the nine millionth consecutive month.
