Group A is not only the first of the World Cup groups alphabetically, but will include the first match of the tournament when hosts South Africa kick off against Mexico. Bafana Bafana will have a hard task ahead of them to avoid being the first host ever to fail to qualify for the second round, with Mexico, Uruguay and the immensely talented but unpredictable French standing in their way.
