Your World Cup Friendlies Viewing Schedule for Today

By: WC Bob | May 31st, 2006 | 7 Comments »

In my continuing quest to prevent you from getting any work done or spending any of your free time doing anything other than watching football, I’d like to offer you the chance to watch a couple of games online. Switzerland vs. Italy should be a fun way to spend 90 minutes staring at a computer, while listening to Chinese announcers. If that doesn’t float your boat, you can also tune in for France against Denmark. The streams work best if you use Internet Explorer as your browser. Blame Bill Gates, not me.

Unfortunately, the site does not have the Saudi Arabia-Turkey, Slovenia-Trinidad and Tobago, and Paraguay-Georgia friendlies listed so if anyone knows of a place online where we can watch these games please post it in the comments. Heck, I’ll even check out Estonia-New Zealand if you point me in the right direction. Have to see how the Kiwis look before they lose to Brazil 13-1 this weekend.

Really looking forward to seeing Italy and Switzerland. I like the Swiss defence and will be curious to see how much and how effective Totti is.

I’ll be watching Switzerland-Italy, not only because they’re the both in the World Cup, but also because it’s being broadcast on local television (Switzerland being the national team).

By the way, I doubt Brazil will pull off a massacre against New Zealand. Australia just about pipped them 1-0 during qualifiers. A more realistic score would be 3-0 or 4-0, which is still good, but we all know Brazil are capable of much more.
