Germany – home support and scoring goals – Swedes not hit form at all,
Argentina v Mexico – in last years Confederations – I believe it was a draw between the two teams – but Argentina should come through,
England – will come through, but Ecuador will cause Sven’s Men another fright,
Ghana – controversial – they have the physical game to cause biggest upset of the tournament
Australia – the gutsy performance they showed could be the key to unlock the Italian defence,
Ukraine or Swiss- going for Swiss – though could go either way – both are worst teams in last 16.
Portugal v Holland – best game on paper – Portugese to come through.
Spain v France – again on paper huge game, but Spain are in form, France look a shadow of the team from their glory years

germany – home support, although swedes will attack hard, hope germanies defense will hold up. score 2-1

argentina will be too strong for mexico 3-0 easily

if ever there was going to be an upset i think this game is it. england werent that convincing in the group stage. but i think perhaps a penalty shoot out will decide this one with england getting over the line.

netherlands 2-1 against portugal

australia to upset italy, australia will be too strong in attack and fitness. 2-1

ukraine or swis well who cares really, none of them will make the final. swis 1-1 win on penalties

brazil will probably have problems against a side with flare and excitement to match there own. but too much experience for me with brazil to win 1-0

spain is my tip for the cup with argentina so i think a 2-0 win is on the cards.

Also I even somehow managed to highlight Mexico & Argentina would be close, and Germans would be far too strong for Swedes. Lets see what happens with others…today’s Games: England to make a meal of what should be an easy game – though heat might yet be another factor – 35C – lets hope referees are sensible about letting players take fluids onboards. Portugal v Holland – should be one for the purists with both teams technical abilities. Portugese to come through in a close game. You heard it here first. ps anyone in Berlin – I’m coming for the Final – cannot wait!!
