Beginning March 27, you can put your tickets for sale through the official FIFA World Cup site. There is a price to be paid for your wasteful ways, however. Tournament organizers will charge 10 euros for a transfer while new buyers will pay 15 percent more than the original price. You can also save yourself the time and hassle by simply mailing all unwanted tickets to World Cup Blog headquarters c/o Bob.

Theres a big shift going on amongst fans who have been allocated ‘inappropiate’ tickets for the world cup, but who still want to attend the World Cup to see the teams they really want to see. As you know, unless you are dying you cant transfer tickets, and there is definitely no cross-ticket transfers officially allowed. This is no suprise, and has been the case for decades, hence why the black market (touts and scalpers, illegal agencies etc) make such a killing from fans who sell and then re-buy to get the tickets they really want.
Well, the fans have fought back. there are a number of privately run websites that have taken the situation on board and have provided a community where fans from all over the world can get together and arrange an exchange of tickets like-for-like amongst themselves. The result: The fans get the tickets they wanted in the forst place, and the touts and illegal agencies are cut out of the deal, leaving the loins share of the fans money where it should be, – in their pockets to spend at the World Cup!
The process is bound to frowned upon by both FIFA and the black market, but under the enforced conditions that fans have been forced to use to get tickets isnt this a breath of fresh air?
