World Cup Goals Online Clips

By: WC Bob | June 11th, 2006 | 22 Comments »

If you’re like me you can’t get enough of seeing the goals scored in the World Cup enough times. Heck, I still get fired up watching goals from the ‘82 World Cup. That is why I’m excited that our friend from Slovenia on this blog is doing a great job compiling all of the video highlights of each goal in the competition. By the end of the World Cup I imagine his entry will be rather long and I can only imagine how many great goals we’ll be able to watch again and again.

To me the best goal of the World Cup after the first couple of days was the strike by Frings in the opening match for Germany. That one has top 10 tournament goal written all over it. What has been your favorite goal so far?

Goalscorers thus far:

Paulo Wanchope, Costa Rica 2
Miroslav Klose, Germany 2
Phillip Lahm, Germany
Torsten Frings, Germany
Agustin Delgado, Ecuador
Carlos Tenorio, Ecuador
Carlos Gamarra, Paraguay (own goal)
Hernana Crespo, Argentina
Javier Saviola, Argentina
Didier Drogba, Ivory Coast

The Frings goal was a great one but when Crespo scored my heart almost jumped out of my chest I was so excited. Hopefully we’ll see some more goals today.

I was happy to see Drogba score. I wish Ivory Coast would have come up with the equalizer but it was a great match.

[...] The goals will keep coming, Crouchy and it’s up to you to keep the robot cool in the eyes of all the girls in my local hangouts. And if you’re suddenly bashful, watching these goals will make you feel better. But don’t give up on the robot because you think it’s a distraction, Rooney has that covered. Hi there,
Can’t seen to view your recommended blog on the goals highlights. So here is something I created at http://goals.infigaro.com which contains all the goals of the world cup.

My personal view of the best goal of the 2006 World Cup is the second goal scored by Argentina against Serbia & Montenegro. A masterclass teamwork goal with a superb finish!!!

Only by having that back.
Campos is an excellent motivator not Lavolpe.

He doesn’t undertand our Mexican chispa.
