World Cup Friendlies for the Week Ahead

By: WC Bob | May 29th, 2006 | No Comments »

If you support one of the teams in the World Cup, the odds are with you this week that your team is playing at least one friendly. By my count, 29 of the 32 teams are taking part in the exhibition fun with only the United States, Serbia and Montenegro, and Ecuador choosing to sit on the sidelines. The highlight of the week ahead is my favorite team Angola battling it out with Argentina and Turkey. All the other games will be fun too even if the results don’t really matter. Check out the team blogs for coverage and thoughts about these games. Here’s the complete schedule.
