World Cup Blog Hero to Referee Wednesday

As if you didn’t have enough incentive to watch the Costa Rica and Ecuador match on Wednesday, now that the refereeing crew has been announced you have to tune in. World Cup Blog hero and future King of Benin Cofi Codjia will be head referee. Codjia, who spends his days working as a maritime transport investigator (still not clear what that means), refereed one match in the 2002 World Cup and it ironically was a Costa Rica game. Is there some kind of Benin and Costa Rica connection we don’t know about it here? Tune in to find out and make sure you check out of referees blog where Aaron is doing a great job of breaking down the performances of the men in the middle.

I had no inventive to watch Costa Rica and Paraguay on Wednesday. A lot of that had to with the fact that they didn’t play. Want do try Thursday? German lesson #1 Donnertag is German for Thursday and Mittwoch is German for Wednesday.

Change that to Costa Rica and Ecuador.
