World Cup Blog Endorsement: Sepp Blatter for President in 2007

By: WC Bob | March 31st, 2006 | 2 Comments »

The political campaign season is upon us and perhaps the most heated race will be for the job of FIFA President. The incumbent, Sepp Blatter, has held the position since 1998. This campaign he faces his biggest challenger to date: himself. It is expected that Blatter will run unopposed and that he will be anointed head of the world’s football governing body for another four year team by his merry band of cronies. There is still plenty of time between now and the election date for Blatter to open his mouth and say something that will get him booted out of office, but if the guy hasn’t been impeached by now we kind of think he’ll be running the show until our grandchildren’s children are adults.

If there is one thing that can get in the way of the Blatter dictatorship, it might just be this never before released photo of Blatter cavorting with a lion that isn’t wearing trousers. Surely this is a political scandal in the making.

I so hope Beckenbauer is going to run. I was always in favour for Johannsson, but since Blatter bought enough electoral votes, the only one who could beat him for sure is Beckenbauer.

And yeah, spare me that Platini, he always looks like as if he has diarrhea. We want the press conferences in 2007 to start with “Ja gut ähhh, mei, we sink thät this is the opening of the press conference!”
