Yeesh, thump, don't shoot the messenger. Daryl's just reporting the story, he didn't make it up.

And I'm not sure how taking jaunts of thousands of miles with his wife on a private jet for the sole purpose of purchasing things they don't need and will probably throw out in a few weeks sets a good example.

It's one thing to talk about protecting the rain forest. It's another to alter your lifestyle to make a positive impact. When he does the latter, he'll impress me.

Hey JackA$$ (I mean Daryl),
ARe you that ignorant to think that Beckham does absolutely NOTHING for the earth? it's funny how all you tree huggers attack anyone you can without giving both sides of the story. Becks is a huge environmentalist, yes he globes treks but noone ever says about the charities he supports. Also, when he plays in S.America, he makes appearances in support of protecting the rain forest. YOu mention he owns 15+ cars, probably true, but that doesn't mean he can drive them all at once. By that argument, then every car dealer should be worse because they own more vehicles...dumb argument. Finally, let us not forget that without Beck that thousands of people have jobs thanks to him. He increases job security and puts global locations on the map that you, Daryl, probably didn't even know existed and brought to your attention that were in need of environmental protection. We should be thanking Beck, not bannishing him.

haha, quality work Daryl. I like the Al Gore punching him in the face part. Although to be fair, Al Gore himself was recently criticized for relying on personal jets from time to time. Still though, his Carbon footprint is certainly a lot smaller than Beckhams!
