Pity Sunderland and Scotland striker Kevin Kyle. Not only did his national team fail to qualify for the World Cup and not only does he play for one of the most futile club teams in history and not only was he forced to miss a recent match because he scalded his testicles with hot water (gasp), but now he has to read about his scalded testicles (gasp) in all the papers. Talk about a tough life. Sure enough this has already inspired an article or two about the most bizarre football injuries in history. It should come as no surprise that goalkeepers have an entire website dedicated to their bizarre and downright stupid injuries, including the story of Spain’s Santiago Canizares who was ruled out of the 2002 World Cup after dropping a bottle of aftershave on his foot. But scalded testicles (gasp)…

How stupid is that kinda story? But I do remember the aftershave story too. That’s how Cool Water costed a goalie the W/C.

That’s the reason I always jump away when something hard or edgy hits the ground…
