Upcoming Friendlies for World Cup Teams

By: WC Bob | February 17th, 2006 | 1 Comment »

With the start of the World Cup less than four months away, teams are starting to get serious about their preparations. Here’s a list of friendlies that have been scheduled for the next few months. There are plenty of interesting matchups as teams look to play opponents who resemble the style of play they will see in group play in Germany. March 1 is the busiest day with a few games that should be fun to watch including Italy against Germany, Croatia versus Argentina, and Netherlands taking on Ecuador. A special award should go to Japan who will play a whopping 9 friendlies before the start of the World Cup.
