Togo Coach Sacked (Maybe)

By: WC Bob | February 14th, 2006 | No Comments »

There are conflicting reports about the status of Togo coach Stephen Keshi. According to news sources in Togo, Keshi has been fired. Bora Milutinovic (shockingly linked to another coaching job!) and Otto Pfiste are reported to be the frontrunners to replace Keshi.

At the same time, Togolese Football Federation president Rock Gnassingbe says, “No decision has been taken yet on the case of Stephen Keshi.” Not exactly a ringing endorsement for a coach who is on the hot seat after a disastrous showing at the African Cup of Nations.
