Three Percent Predict a Win, 100 Percent Love Hasselhoff

By: WC Bob | March 15th, 2006 | 2 Comments »

On a day when Germany fell out of the top twenty in the FIFA world rankings a report was released that a mere 3% of Germans believe their team will win the World Cup this summer. These are the same 3% who report having seen a UFO in the past 12 months. Despite this pessimism, Jurgen Klinsmann still has the support of 66% of Germans even if his team loses to the US next week. Meanwhile, German officials have announced that they will allow World Cup fans to party into the wee hours of the morning by lifting a noise ban that normally shuts things down at 10pm. Of course, people living in the cities where the German team will play shouldn’t have to worry much about being kept awake by late night celebrations.
