The Story Behind Brazilian Nicknames

By: WC Bob | March 6th, 2006 | No Comments »

One of the many cool things about a site like World Cup Blog is that we have people from all over the world writing about their teams and offering comments on any number of football-related subjects. If you read through our various team blogs you can also get a sense of the different cultures of the countries involved. For example, you can learn why Iran is known as Team Melli and you can find out why Saudi Arabia’s players don’t play abroad. Today I found Euler’s explanation about Brazilian nicknames very interesting.
