The $2.4 Million Ball

By: WC Bob | November 6th, 2006 | 5 Comments »

Forgive me for being a bit sad today. I really wanted to purchase a ball used in this year’s World Cup and donate it to you, fair readers, but alas I was outbid by a 21-year-old member of the Qatar royal family. The dude simply has deeper pockets than me and was more than willing to cough up $2.4 million for the ball, which was signed by Italy’s World Cup winning team. The purchase was part of $11.25 million raised for charity during the auction in Qatar. If it is any consolation, you are welcome to use the ball I purchased for $50 that is sitting in my closet any time you want. You might want to bring a pump though. It could use some air.

Get a politician to blow it up for you, aftertall they are all full of hot air. Don’t let Sepp Blatter blow it up because he is full of bovine manure.

Bob if the ball is only insured for 1 million USD then if something happens to the ball the poor prince of Qatar will have a huge loss. I can see the gas prices going up to $4 per gallon to make up for the soccerball being underinsured.

That’s a blast!

The same people who point their finger to the West for social inequities and blame them for terrorism, are the people who squander their dollars on a piece of synthetic material.

anyone knows how to differentiate between the real Teamgeist Matchballs at retails VERSUS those being sold on ebay, claiming to be authentic!
