Spain Opts for Budget World Cup Accommodations
Don’t blame Raul and his Spanish teammates if they seem a little grumpier and more tired than usual at the World Cup this summer. According to an article in the Tagesspiegel newspaper, Spain will be staying at the cheapest hotel of any of the 32 World Cup teams. The most expensive room in Spain’s hotel is 99 euros a night. Included in that fee is a bucket of ice and basic cable. Adult movies can be purchased on a minute-by-minute basis. On the opposite side of the spectrum, the German team is living large in a hotel that has rooms that run a cool 3,000 euros per night. The range of hotel room prices for most of the 32 World Cup teams hovers between 200 and 500 euros. Here is a list of the all of the teams hotels. You might want to avoid booking a room at Spain’s. I hear the sheets are dirty and the walls are so thin you’ll be kept up all night by Raul’s snoring.
