Spain Drain Ivory Coast; One More Friendly to Go

Spain defeated Ivory Coast 3-2 in one of the more entertaining matches of the day. Juanito scored the game winner in the 86th minute. Both sides had numerous scoring opportunities in a wide open contest and Ivory Coast’s second goal by Kalou was simply a joy to watch. The Elephants showed why many consider them to be one of the more dangerous teams coming out of Africa. One player who really caught my eye for Spain was 18-year-old Cesc Fabregas who looks to be one of many young players who might dazzle this summer in Germany.

One more game to go in this marathon day of friendly football: Mexico against Ghana. I just ate some cake and think the sugar high might just help me to watch another 90 minutes of footy. I’m feeling good enough at the moment that I might even watch Venezuela and Colombia just for the hell of it.

You can catch the Mexico streams here: 3.00 CET Mexico – Ghana night wednesday/thursday
