It’s our turn! It will be 24 years since the last N. America WC (1994) and only 12 years for Europe (2006) plus they had just had it 8 years before! As a Mexican-American I would be extremely happy with either USA or Mexico hosting, however it would be nice to watch the final in my backyard (Rose Bowl). I think probably the USA would win the bid because Mexico already has hosted it twice, unless Canada can really prove that they have the stadiums to pull it off. In the end, however, I agree with the gentleman above, they can host it in Antartica and it will be a success. As for me, I am planning to attend every single World Cup until the day I die, so bring it on anywhere!

Since I live like an hour away from the States, I would love for it to be there. Or better yet, here in Canada! As long as I get my seat in the stadium. However, China sounds nice as well.

It doesn’t really matter where the World Cup will be held,even if the FIFA decided to go in Antarctica or Arctica or even in
a space above earth or below in the ocean – it will remain the most popular and most watch and attend sport event in the world.

I feel that Australia deserve more than England.

Right on Kahuru. What the world cup needs is more drunk English fans roaming around. If England doesn’t get the world cup in our life time it could be because of their drunk hooligans.

Don’t forget Kahuru the golden rule “Who has the gold makes the rules” and Europe does have a lot of that and I don’t mean Krugerrands.

Errrr wrong! South Africa should have won the 2006 bid, but the fact is Europe wanted it and they got it – just one example among many; what makes them formidable is that they have 8 voting members in the 24 man committee it’s not hard for them to find 5 more, even 4 to vote in their favour, and win. F.Y.I. America had the largest attendance of any world cup to date, and it was done without the lure of booze – so everyone would love to come to America!!!

What are you talking about, everyone BUT europe gets what they want. It would probably be Mexico, why would anyone want to go to America to watch “soccer”?! it needs to be somewhere where under 21s can drink! although i will be 32 by then.
