Sean, Bob & Chris in Berlin

By: Nick O'Neill | June 2nd, 2006 | 8 Comments »

Sean, Bob, Chris and I are in Berlin covering World Cup 2006. Today we checked out Alexanderplatz in the center of Berlin, close to the big needle (monument). Weather today in Berlin was cool, but when the sun came out it was pleasant.

Alexander Platz seems a place where people come to shop and relax. There were not any World Cup fans around, apart from us, but the shops had merchandise with World Cup affiliated packaging. Times like this all the wankers come out of the frigging wood work, and you’ll find McDonald’s, your local pub and the second hand car dealer plastering their goods with football stuff.

Angola kit didn’t get mailed in time. Angola flag has been bought and will be worn like a cape.

Yeah, Jessie, it’s an Italian one. Nick picked up a bunch from Bali and I wear it cos the black ’shadows’ under the arms make my pecs look bigger – at least I think that’s the reason the shadows were put there. Maybe the Italians just sweat a bunch and this is supposed to disguise it.
