The dust has settled and we have the results of this week’s three friendlies featuring World Cup teams. In Oita, the host team Japan defeated a plucky, undermanned Ecuador side 1-0 on an 85th minute goal by Sato. Playing in the frigid climes of Chicago, Mexico received a brace from Omar Bravo to defeat Paraguay 2-1. And who can forget the battle in the desert between Poland and Saudi Arabia? The visiting team saw Łukasz Sosin score a pair of goals in a 2-1 victory.
