It’s win or go home for both Germany and Sweden and this will be the final World Cup match for one team until 2010. Last time the World Cup was held in Germany, West Germany defeated Sweden on the way to winning it all. I always love the underdogs (well, except Brazil). I would love to see a Sweden victory over the German. But I feel that it would be very very difficult for them to beat Germany, a team which has good players at all the three positions on the pitch. And Germany is playing at home, just a huge advantage!!
Hopefully the two teams will play well and in good spirit. and no bad calls from the ref please!!!

By avenue | June 24th, 2006 at 2:14 pm I cross my fingers for Sweden, not because Germany eliminated Poland in group A (it was Polish team fault of course), but simply because in my opinion German team is not in its top form and Sweden should take advantage of it. Go, Sweden !

it will be very interesting too see how our defense will look like in “real” game against 3 swedish attackers… will be hard but GER will win this one.

None of them really ‘mean’ anything to me, so I don’t wish for a particular winner, but for a good game.
