Piss Your Pants: One Month to the World Cup!

Another day, another step closer to the pot at the end of the rainbow. Now that we are thirty days away from the start of the World Cup we figured we would introduce ourselves to our new visitors and re-introduce ourselves to those of you who have been along for the ride for awhile. Like every site out there we have FAQ and About Us pages but I know I never read those things. So instead here is our 30-days-away introduction.

Important things to know:

1. Our bloggers are the superheroes of the Blogosphere. We have more than 30 men and women in all corners of the world covering every team in the tournament. Their opinions, insight, humor and passion for their teams are the main reason why you should check their blogs out each and every day.

2. We have a slew of bloggers that are going to be in Germany during the tournament. We plan on covering the thing like crazy. Podcasts, video, LiveBlogs…you name it, we are going to give it a try. Plus we are going to have amazing reader contests. Our goal is to bring the experience of being at a World Cup directly into your home or office and to have as much fun as humanly possible.

3. Our readers are amazing and our community continues to grow. If you want to communicate directly with some of the greatest human beings on this or any other planet, you can go here for information about who to contact to advertise. Also check out our storefront, travel pages and ticket pages for examples of partnerships we have in place and for ways you can support our site.

4. Fifa doesn’t like us and we don’t like FIFA. No one likes Budweiser. We will like you if you keep coming back to us every day. Admit it, you want to be liked.

Feel free to drop Bob a line at bob [at] worldcupblog.org with your ideas, complaints and thoughts in general. He is an obsessive email checker and will likely respond to you in a matter of seconds.

Thanks again to all of the bloggers, readers and sponsors of World Cup Blog. We’re so excited and we just can’t hide it.
