Nominate your Player to the All-Ugly World Cup Team

By: WC Bob | March 30th, 2006 | 11 Comments »

Earlier today we asked your thoughts on who will be the ugliest player in this summer’s World Cup. Obviously this is a hot button issue since we have been inundated with emails, comments, and faxes. People from all over the globe are chiming in with their nominations. It is not too late for you to nominate a player or two. Take a look at some of the current nominees and let us know if we are missing any beauty challenged players. We are a few players short of an All-Ugly Starting XI but we have faith that you can help us round out the roster.

Rio Ferdinand

Wayne Rooney

Dwight Yorke

Peter Crouch

Ronaldinho

Carlos Tevez

Cuauhtemoc Blanco

Jaap Stam

How is Dietmar Hamann NOT on this list? Good player, but he looks like a deformed parrot.

[...] But wait! Not everything is lost! Beckham is still the second. Jokes apart, the list of most valuable stars still have great non-metrosexual talents like Messi, Ronaldo, Eto’o and Ballack among others. This post is to celebrate talent over looks. [...]
