I think Ronaldo should come to the U.S. it would be good . I think he sick of EUrope especially the way they treated him this seaseon while he was in REAL MADRID. HE has the charisma to make it in the U.S. In the other hand other players might have problems getting popular over here.

I believe the main reason for Ronaldo being intresting in playing in the US is for fame. yes he is one of the most well known players in the world though he himself strives to be popular with fans at a level such as david beckham,

By the way, Mina scored from outside the box in the 2nd half. Glanced off the fullback’s head about 1/2 way between Mina and the goal. Not sure why it wasn’t ruled an own goal.

Gotta give Mina credit though — the shot was a missile.

Stadium is top-notch — not a bad seat in the place. Crowd was smallish (around 15k, announced 19.5k) but lively.

Mina was okay, but I was really impressed by Ronnie O’Brien and Chicago’s Chris(?) Rolfe. Dallas likes to play O and doesn’t defend well so it makes for entertaining games. Kenny Cooper is massive and if he gets any ball skills will be on the national team come 2010.

When going, try to approach the stadium from the NE and park on the N to avoid traffic.

Went to my 1st game last weekend at FC Dallas. It’s not the EPL, but it was a good time. I think the league has finally found stability and will (relatively) flourish over the next 5 years.

Getting Ronaldo or other superstars would be a huge media coup for the MLS.

I would definitely start going to MLS games more regularly, even though it’s a 90-120 minute trip to the nearest stadium for me.

I’m also looking forward to seeing former Ajax stand-out, Johnny O’Brien, playing for Chivas USA…

Wow. And hasn’t Becks made overtures about coming to the US eventually? Will all of the galacticos retire to New Jersey?
