No Booze and Porn for Saudi Team

We give the German town of Bad Nauheim a lot of credit for cultural sensitivity. The town will be the base for the Saudi Arabia team during the World Cup and it is doing everything it can to respect the beliefs of its guests. That includes the team hotel which will remove all alcohol and pay-per-view adult movies from the players’ rooms. Also coming down are five art nouveau paintings featuring naked boys wearing wings. Why they have been allowed to hang this long is beyond us. No word yet on what the hotel plans to do with its excess stock of booze and porn, but don’t be surprised if it ends up in England’s hotel where you know that just about anything will be allowed.

England are staying in Baden Baden because of the proximity of the horseracing track and famous casino and I’m sure the boys could find a use for some extra booze.

That’s gotta a be disappointing for the Saudis!!

Are they gonna get the hotel women workers to dress in black and wear a mask? Hey if they wanna portray Saudi Arabia even more accurately, they need to get rid of those naked boys pictures and bring then actual underage boys for they pleasure. Haaaaaa, nothing like home sweet home

    That’s bordering on cultural insensitivity.

Would it be culturally insensitive for me to suggest that the Saudi players simply refrain from drinking alcohol or ordering porn?

[...] This decision to black out the flags follows other efforts to respect the customs of Saudi Arabia. As we reported a few weeks back, the hotel where Saudi Arabia’s team is staying will be removing all porn and booze from its premises. [...]

    Long live Saudi Arabia

Come on people, these players are representing their country. So Saudi Arabia may not be The Netherlands. Why don’t we go around asking if the Dutch team is carrying joints around with them? Let’s try be civil.
