Nick: World Cup Blog HQ Berlin

My name is Nick and I am a contributor to World Cup Blog. I live in Bali and do a travel site called Baliblog, which talks about travel, culture and life in Bali. My flight out to Germany took me through KL, London and finally to Berlin, where World Cup Blog HQ is. The flight was a pain in the ass to be honest, with delayed flights. but I’m here now, and Berlin seems a cool place. At least the beer is good.

The World Cup Blog HQ is located close to the big needle with the ball (big feature in Berlin), close to Alexander Platz. Arriving last night at 1am, I was unable to wake anyone in the 4th floor apartment. Strolling down the street to a local bar, the staff invited me to take a seat, drink a beer and use their phone. Things worked out and I didn’t have to sleep on the street.

Weather here in Berlin is a bit chilly when the sun goes in, but today we have been talking around wearing World Cup shirts, looking for cell phone stuff and buying flags. Looking forward to the friendly this evening between Germany & Colombia.
