Make sure your radios have batteries

By: WC Bob | March 16th, 2006 | No Comments »

There has been quite a bit of hype about the technology being released in time for the World Cup this summer. If you have a deep enough bank account, you can watch the game on high definition televisions or have them broadcast on your handheld mobile device. While this undoubtedly will bring pleasure to many footie fans this summer, don’t get to used to it. In South Africa in 2010, a shoddy infrastructure might lead to intermittent soccer blackouts. Somehow I think that with the amount of money generated from broadcast rights and the threat of the pure terror that would come to surface around the world if one billion football fans were unable to watch the matches, this will all be resolved in time. Now if I can only figure out a way to use my television’s rabbit ears to get high definition reception!
