South Korea and Iran both won earlier today to help kick off a day filled with international friendlies. South Korea defeated fellow World Cup qualifier Angola 1-0 on a cold, blustery night in Seoul. The 20-year-old wunderkid Park Chu-young netted the only goal of the match. Iran defeated Costa Rica 3-2 in Tehran behind first half goals by Ali Karimi, Ali Daei, Vahid Hashemian. Both matches featured the exciting, close play that you would expect from World Cup quality teams. The next set of games kick off in a few minutes. What a great day to be a fan of the Beautiful Game!
