Klinsmann Waging Psycho Terror Campaign against Kahn
For years Germany keeper has waged psychological terror against me at night, frequently popping up in my nightmares and scaring the beejezus out of me with that face of his. It is beecause of all those years of lost sleep that I can announce today that my new favorite person in the world is Jurgen Klinsmann. The German coach is apparently waging a psychological war against Kahn if you are to believe Bayern Munich commercial manager Uli Hoeness. Says Hoeness, who is upset because Kahn has sucked for his team lately, “Not making a decision on the starting goalkeeper after the last friendly against the United States (on March 22) was irresponsible. It’s psychological terror, absolute psycho terror.” As the kids like to say these days, payback is a bitch, Oliver. I’ll be sleeping a little easier tonight knowing that Kahn will be tossing and turning.

bob,
i absolutely feel you: kahn is the prototypical prison guard. the only problem is that klinsmann is an asshole just as big, but who cares? as you rightfully said, payback’s a mother!

Bob,
Love the comments. But give me a break if a keeper is that messed up by not knowing his is number 1 than should he be number 1? Jurgen is doing what almost all coaches do with every other position. He is making it known that players will have to earn the spot this year not from performances four years ago.

[...] Bayern Munich manager Uli Hoeness is not an easy guy to please. Earlier this week he publicly called out Germany coach Jurgen Klinsmann for waging “psycho terror” on his keeper Oliver Kahn. He was upset because Klinsmann had not named a number one keeper for the national team and this was making Ollie play poorly for Bayern. Today, a day after Klinsmann named Jens Lehmann his starter, Hoeness lashed out at Klinsmann again before Kahn and his Bayern teammates were drilled 3-0 by Werder. [...]
