Kahn’s Psycho Terror Ends, Lehmann Named Number One

By: WC Bob | April 7th, 2006 | 9 Comments »

Oliver Kahn no longer has to spend his days and nights fretting about his standing on the German national team. The part man, part robot has been told that Jens Lehmann will be the starting keeper for Germany at the World Cup. Coach Jurgen Klinsmann informed Kahn of the decision and not surprisingly Ollie is less than pleased: “I am surprised about this decision and absolutely disappointed. I will consider my future with the national team over the next few weeks and announce my decision at an appropriate date.” I hope this doesn’t mean Kahn won’t be at the World Cup. Every tournament needs a villain like him and everyone knows how awful Lehmann can play. I expect to see Oliver Kahn in goal at some point this summer. I also expect to see him in my nightmares for the rest of my life.

“Of course Oliver is disappointed, but he took it as a real sportsman.”

By hinting that he’ll quit the team? Does not sound like much of a sportsman or a team player to me. The correct thing to say in a situation like that is “Congrats to Jens who is in fine form at the moment and I look forward to giving the team my full support at the World Cup.”

I didn’t know robots could be such babies.

Disaster! Disaster for the Germans. How will they survive. I mean they will win the world cup now. The Power of Jens’ hair will propel them to the cup. Jens has one bad game or mishap and Kahn is back in the nets. This is the most trival news because the germans have NO CHANCE!!!

Jens Lehmann has had 8 clean sheets in a row in the champions leauge and that is a new record beating AC Milans 7 from last year. These clean sheets were agiansts teams like Juventus and Real mardid so you can’t be really that suprised Lehmann was selected Germanys 1 goalkeeper. He deserves it.

Excuse me? Did Khan show how unqualified he was psychologically at the last FIFA? I think NOT. He freakin’ rocked. What the h***? I’ll give Lehmann two games before Khan gets back in.

I think putting Lehmann as number 1 is a big mistake.
He only plays well when he’s with Arsenal. When it comes to the National team,no one beats Ollie.Germany WILL win the world cup.
