This is something few predicted. After weeks of speculation about who would be named to replace Sven-Goran Erikkson the English FA has reportedly offered the job to Juventus coach Fabio Capello. The deal, reported in Italian newspapers today, is reputed to be for four years and a meager $32 million. Capello also will get a luxury London apartment rent-free, which is a good thing considering the cost of flats in the city and Capello’s below living wage salary. Adding to the absurdity of this situation is the report that Sven might take Capello’s job at Juve. Can’t wait to read those tabloid headlines in England tomorrow…
UPDATE: English FA denies all this. Now there’s a surprise.
