Jose and Me

You’ve got to admire Jose Mourinho’s audacity. Actually, you don’t have to admire anything about the Special One, but there is no denying that the guy knows how the keep himself in the headlines. Yesterday he made it clear that one day he will coach the Portugal national team. One small fact that he failed to mention: he hasn’t been offered the job. He also mentioned that he could see himself coaching Bayern Munich, which probably is news to Bayern Munich, as well as Mourinho’s bosses at Chelsea.

This is an interesting tactic and since I have come to call myself the Special One of the blogsphere, I have decided to follow my mentor’s lead. So today I would like to announce that some day I will be writing Wayne Rooney’s autobiography.

Jose says he would need a year to study German before coaching Bayern Munich. I’ll need at least seven years to understand a word Rooney utters, but during that time I will continue my job at World Cup Blog, while also keeping open the possibility of some day writing for the New York Times, News of the World and Playboy (since everybody just reads it for the articles anyway).

I’d also like to announce that I am right about everything and you are wrong about everything.
