Ivory Coast Seek Revenge Against Host Egypt

It should be an entertaining end to the African Nations Cup today when Ivory Coast take on Egypt at 16h GMT. Egypt defeated Ivory Coast when the two sides met in group play, but the host nation is now dealing with the controversial dismisal of its star Mido. The Elephants started the tournament slowly but have started to regain the form they showed in qualifying for the World Cup.

One person to keep an eye on is the Tunisian referee Mourad Daami who is just a bit of a controversial figure.

If you don’t have a rooting interest in this one, consider pulling for the Elephants whose fellow citizens could use some good news right about now.

I’m going to go out on a limb and predict a 2-1 victory for Ivory Coast even though the host nation seemingly always wins the CAN.

egypt doesnt need its star player ‘mido’ to win the CAN it was proven in the latest match against senegal.
My expectations are 3-2 for Egypt lets not forget that the 85000 fans will encourage enourmesly the egyptian team.

Very interested to see who comes out on top – both teams played well throughout the tournament.
