It’s in the Stars. Expect Surprising Results Today

By: WC Bob | June 18th, 2006 | 3 Comments »

While you are make your last minute predictions for today’s World Cup matches, you might want to take into consideration the alignment of Mars and Saturn. According to astrologers in India, this rare planetary alignment that occurs every 18 years will lead to a “surprising outcome” for the Brazil and Australia match and for the World Cup in general.

While fans of the Socceroos might rejoice at this news, they may also want to keep in mind that the astrologers say that Mars and Saturn playing together could also lead to individual hardships including divorce, separation, depression, accidents, pain and agony.

In other words, it will make you feel like you are a fan of Costa Rica, Poland and the other teams that have already been eliminated from the World Cup.

That’s the ‘Karkataka raasi’ and not whatever they typed in the linked article. And no, the summary is slightly wrong, it’s not just the conjunction of Mars and Saturn, but that this conjunction happens exactly when there is a samkraNam in the karkataka raasi (which is a Sanskrit way of saying, “the Sun enters the House of Cancer”, for western astronomers/astrologers out here)
