Hooliganwatch™: Germany to Make Border Checks

German officials announced Thursday that they will temporarily suspend the European Union’s Schengen travel agreement to allow for border checks in an effort to prevent hooligans from entering the country during the World Cup. Normally people traveling in the Schengen travel zone can go from one country to another without showing their identity cards, but this won’t be the case this summer. Interior minister Wolfgang Schaeuble has these words for all you hooligans reading this blog: “They won’t enjoy their stay here. Those who want to cause disturbances should simply stay at home.” Perhaps Mr. Schaeuble and others read these articles about hooligans in Poland and the growing threat of neo-Nazi losers before they issued this new edict?
